KINGSTON, Jamaica, CMC-Jamaica’s Under-21 netballers delivered an improved performance but their effort was not enough to deprive Australia from completing a clean sweep in their three-test series which ended here over the weekend.
The Jamaicans went down 53-35 after losing the first two games, 60-31 and 51-25 at the national stadium.
Spirited performances in splashes and better ball handling highlighted the Jamaican attack but their efforts were undermined by careless turnovers.
The homeside played an aggressive last quarter as goal shoot Shantel Slater scored 30 from 36 with Danean Taylor at goal attack scoring all five of her shots.
“It was all about determination and hard work and the girls are showing improvement by working on their errors” said Annette Daley, head coach of Jamaica.
“For each performance you have to look on your errors and improve on them and they achieved some of that tonight”.
Consistent goal shooter Kristina Brice of Australia led all shooters scoring 43 goals from 51 attempts with goal attack Shelcey Kemke scored seven from ten.
