Three women, who were reportedly part of a brawl on Regent Street, were charged with unlawful assault causing actual bodily harm when they appeared before by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry in Court 1 of the Georgetown Magistrates Courts, yesterday.
Latoya Knights, 27, Fiona Knights and Shondel Alicock all of Lot 6 First Street, Grove, East Bank Demerara pleaded not guilty to unlawful assault causing actual bodily harm committed on Alana Knights.
It was alleged that on November 27, Latoya Knights, Alana Knights, Fiona Knights and Shondel Alicock got into a heated argument on Regent Street which resulted in a fight.
Alana Knights, who was not present in court yesterday, is expected to appear on December 5, when the case continues in Court 10.
The prosecution had no objection to bail, which was granted and Latoya Knights, Fiona Knights and Shondel Alicock were placed on a bond to keep the peace.
