Physical Education teachers from 10 city schools will be involved in a training programme from December 11th to the 14th organized by the Guyana Netball Association (GNA) aimed at facilitating the reintroduction of netball in schools.
GNA President Kim Kyte-John told Stabroek News the Association was only recently granted permission from the Ministry of Education to introduce the game in schools. “At the conclusion of the workshop, some of our best players will go into the schools and start working with the students along with the physical education teachers, during the month of January,” she said.
A competition will then be held in February among the participating schools which are Dolphin Secondary, East Ruimveldt Secondary, North Georgetown Secondary, Lodge Secondary, Queen’s College, Bishops’ High, St. Rose’s High, St. Stanislaus College, Tutorial High and Tucville Secondary School. “We are hoping that with this programme we
