Dr Nainiappan Daniel, a general practitioner who had his surgical practice at the St Joseph Mercy Hospital compound, died yesterday morning at the Balwant Singh Hospital after a brief illness.
Dr Daniel, an Indian national, was one of three doctors certified to conduct medical examinations for US immigrant visas. He had been practicing medicine in Guyana for more than 20 years and was also a missionary pastor.
