EZjet Air Services customers will start to receive their refunds over cancellations within a week’s time after a final list is compiled, a representative from the company said on Tuesday.
The final list of customers is currently in the making but it is unclear as to how many of them are expected to receive payments.
When asked about the airline being back in operation for the upcoming holiday season, the company representative, who asked not to be named, said that they do not want to jump the gun and added that if the company has decided to do so, a press release will be issued.
The airline was forced to cancel flights after the United States Department of Transport suspended its operations, leading to the Government of Guyana through the Guyana Civil Aviation Authority to follow suit.
EZjet has insisted that it has not shut down and has laid most of the blame for its woes on Swift Air which it had been wet-leasing aircraft from as well as the government for not providing subsidy to the airline.
