The Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment has received two vehicles to beef up security at the Botanical Gardens and the National Park.
A release from the ministry said that Managing Director of G-Star Mining and Exploration Company, Azeem Baksh donated the two security vehicles to the Minister of Natural Resources and the Environment, Robert Persaud.
This, the release said, is expected to increase patrols and at the same time improve logistics for management of the National Parks.
Persaud said that the initiative is part of a larger effort by the Ministry under its “Operations Safe Parks” initiative to improve urban parks and recreational spaces, and provide quality services and a safe visitor experience.
