CNS Channel 6 transmission signal is still being disrupted as the television station awaits an official response from head of the National Frequency Management Unit (NFMU) Valmikki Singh to address the issue.
Co-owner Savitri Singh said yesterday that she was still waiting on NFMU to resolve the situation which is causing the business to lose revenue.
Singh also said that NFMU has asked Channel 6 to provide it with information on people who are complaining of interference and she could not understand why NFMU personnel could not go into the areas and check the signals.
“Furthermore, I don’t think they need to go in people’s homes because there is equipment that can assist to determine…” where the signal is being disrupted.
Singh said she is giving NFMU enough time to sort the issue out before looking at other alternatives.
Singh had told Stabroek News that viewers were increasingly calling in and complaining of the interference. She added that the company believes the situation is an attempt to put it out of business because people would not want to advertise with a channel if they could not hear their advertisements clearly on air.
