A man was shot in his head by a female passenger who he picked up as he was driving along, New Road, Vreed-en-Hoop, West Bank Demerara, around 20:25 hrs on Sunday.
Dale Cameron of 130 Belle West, Canal Number Two is now a patient of the Georgetown Public Hospital after he was transferred from the West Demerara Regional Hospital.
The police said in a press release that Cameron was driving motor car, HB 71, when he picked up a female passenger at Plantain Walk, whose destination was Crane. As he approached Crane, he heard an explosion and felt an impact behind his head, the release added.
The impact caused him to lose control of the vehicle, which ran off the road and into a trench. He was then rushed to the WDRH, where he was admitted and referred to Georgetown.
