Dear Editor,
I am intrigued by the recent report of a gold heist in Curaçao. The report states that the gold was in the form of 70 bars, and weighed about 216 kilograms, which suggests that the raw metal was processed.
Would SN use their investigative journalistic capabilities to provide answers to the following questions: 1) How many facilities exist in Guyana with the capacity to process that quantity of gold? 2) Where are these facilities located? 3) What kind of security is in place at these locations? 4) Who are the persons who have security clearance to access these locations? And 5) What records are kept, and what accountability procedures exist?
Yours faithfully,
Clarence O Perry
