Boxing fans will now have the opportunity to see Elton ‘Coolie Bully’ Dharry and Rudolph Hedge cuff off in the ring on December 28th when the two clash on a card organized by Hurry Up Promotions in collaboration with Elton ‘Coolie Bully’ Dharry and Pearl Vodka.
Dharry and Hedge were to meet on the Redemption Card organized by the Guyana Boxing Board of Control in November, but Dharry pulled out at the last minute. According to Dharry, he was recovering from the flu. And while, Richard Williamson was his replacement, Hedge cancelled his flight since the island was under threat from Hurricane Sandy.
Meanwhile in other bouts, Barbadian Shawn Cox will face Guyanese Leon Gilks in the Cruiserweight division.
That bout is expected to last for eight rounds. Fighting in the Middleweight division is Edmond DeClou and Barbadian Shawn Henry. In the first to three twelve round bouts, WBC CABOFE Junior Welterweight titleholder, Clive ‘Wonder Kid’ Atwell is expected to face his Guyanese counterpart Revlon Lake in the Lightweight division. Also fighting on the card are Richard Williamson and Leon ‘Hurry Up’ Moore. Their contenders are still to be named.
