A woman was on Tuesday released on self bail after denying that she assaulted another woman.
Indie Garraway, of Lot 587 East Ruimveldt, pleaded not guilty to the charge of unlawful assault read to her by Chief Priya Sewnarine-Beharry in Court 1 at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
The prosecution said that on December 3, Garraway and Denise Jackman unlawfully assaulted each other. Jackman was not present at court.
No particulars were given about the case and Garraway was released on her own recognisance but not before she was put on a bond to keep the peace pending the determination of the case.
The matter will be called again on January 8 in Court 1.
