A 52-year-old woman, Salina Butts, was on Saturday afternoon chopped to her head after what relatives said was an argument between her and her reputed husband.
A relative said that the attack occurred sometime around 3:45 pm on Saturday and Butts is now at the Georgetown Public Hospital. Butts was said to have been chopped three times to her head and once to her hand by her reputed husband.
The relative further stated that Butts and the man shared a common-law relationship for the past six years.
The relative said that Butts had surgery on Saturday evening and is now a patient of the High Dependency Unit.
