Channel 2 owner suspends operations

The operations of Channel 2 have been suspended after a dispute between station owner Godfrey Washington and lessee, Brutal Tracks Studio owner Christian Duncan.

The channel, which previously operated as GWTV, had been rebranded BTV under Duncan’s stewardship.

“I am committed to this and when all the documents are in place, I am still looking for somebody to collaborate with,” Washington said yesterday, while voicing his discontent with his arrangement with Duncan.

He noted that Duncan had been responsible for the staff members except for one and he would rehire them if they are available when he is ready to reopen the doors for Channel 2 next year, as long as his licence was renewed.
