Guyana’s national T20 cricket team yesterday defeated a Rest XI by 100 runs in a specially arranged practice game at the Guyana National Stadium.
Batting first, the national team rattled up 181 for 4 from 20 overs with Christopher Barnwell’s 59 the top score while wicketkeeper Derwin Christian supported with 44.
In reply the Rest Team scored 81-9 with Steven Jacobs 21 and Travis Dowlin 16 the main contributors.
Leg spinner Devendar Bishoo picked up 4 for 13 while Clinton Pestano chipped in with 2 for 20.
