PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad, CMC-William Perkins was in ripping form with the bat again as Trinidad and Tobago registered a convincing 65-run win over Queen’s Park Cricket Club in their second Twenty/20 practice match on Sunday.
Perkins, who smashed a busy 29 of 27 balls in the first warm-up fixture, slammed a half century off just 31 balls as the Caribbean T20 champions posted a competitive 150 for eight at the Queen’s Park Oval.
Perkins hit two sixes and five fours to reach his 50 while Evin Lewis, coming in at number three, hit 47 off 36 balls with three sixes and two fours.
The Queens Park Cricket Club, with the likes of Dwayne Bravo in their ranks, collapsed on the chase and were dismissed for 85 in 19.2.
Samuel Badree did most of the damage snatching four wickets for five runs namely the top four batsmen as the hosts slipped to 22 for four in the fifth over.
Trinidad and Tobago, who beat the Parkites by three wickets in the first practice match, are preparing for January’s Caribbean T20 and are likely to have two more practice matches this weekend.
