The police say they are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 0630h on Wednesday at Lesbeholden Public Road, Black Bush Polder, Corentyne, and which resulted in the death of pedestrian Razeem Khan, 41 years, of Lesbeholden.
Police say that investigations revealedthat a motor tractor was proceeding along the roadway and was in the process of
negotiating a turn, when it is alleged that the steering wheel of the motor tractor malfunctioned and the driver lost control of the vehicle which struck the pedestrian.
The driver of the motor tractor is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
