The Guyana Geology and Mines Commission’s (GGMC) Newell Dennison has been promoted to Assistant Commissioner and the agency is now looking for a new Petroleum Manager.
Dennison served as Petroleum Manager for a number of years. He was promoted about a month ago, an official of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment said. In ads in the media, the GGMC has been advertising for a Petroleum Manager.
The ad says that the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating and directing the monitoring, investigation and reporting of petroleum operations conducted by petroleum companies, for research, and for undertaking projects which contribute to the scientific base of information relevant to petroleum and fossil fuels, as well as for organizing and maintaining petroleum data archives and for recommending actions for petroleum development.
