The Ministry of Home Affairs and the Community Policing Organisation of Guyana (CPOG) say they deeply regret the loss of one of the active members of the CPOG, Velda Rodrigues of Abrams Creek Community Policing Group, who died in the horrific boat accident on December 18, in the Pomeroon River which claimed six lives.
A release from the ministry yesterday said, “our condolences are sent out to the relatives of Ms Rodrigues and wish to advise all boat captains to comply with the rules of the road at sea. Condolences are also sent out to the other families who lost their loved ones in this boat accident.”
