An accident which occurr-ed last evening has left one person dead and another seriously injured at the Georgetown Public Hos-pital (GPHC).
Christopher Fraser passed away while receiving treatment at the GPHC for injuries he sustained after his motorcycle collided with a car on Aubrey Barker Road, near Penny Lane. Up to press time last evening, the other patient, who was Fraser’s pillion rider, was still being treated at the hospital.
Residents of the area say that Fraser was travelling west along Aubrey Barker Road when a stray animal crossed the path of his motorcycle. It is said that he swerved from the animal and ended up slamming into a car which was parked on the side of the road.
