Dear Editor,
On Friday evening coming through Cemetery Road I observed a traffic jam on both sides of the road. Eventually the vehicles began to move slowly and as I reached almost to the end of the road, I encountered what could be an entry for the Guinness Book of Records. It was a repast complete with mourners‘ food and music – a happy atmosphere but regrettably a hindrance to traffic.
On exiting Cemetery Road I wondered how much Guyana has changed and maybe it was the wish of the deceased.
Yours faithfully,
