The presentation of ‘Cheekies Bundle of Joy’ gift hampers to all mothers who gave birth on New Year’s Day in four hospitals in Georgetown, Berbice and Essequibo, marked the 14th anniversary of this annual tradition by Ansa McAl Trading, a release from the company said.
Joel Lee, Consumer Goods Marketing Assistant, said that it was his and the company’s pleasure to support mothers as they ushered in a new generation filled with hope and promise on New Year’s Day.
Larger hampers of 120 diapers were presented to the mothers of the first boy and girl at Georgetown Public Hospital while all the other hampers contained 80 Cheekies Cloth Soft diapers.
The company said the gifts were well received and brought smiles to the faces of many of the mothers.
At the Georgetown Public Hospital Sasha Boklen gave birth to her 5th baby, a girl; Trishana Singh gave birth to her 1st baby, a girl; Ann Meertens gave birth to her 3 rd baby, a boy; Keele Heaclecker gave birth to her 3rd baby, a boy and Alicia Eastman gave birth to her 5th baby, a boy.
At the Woodlands Hospital, Aruna Etwaru gave birth to her 1st baby, a boy; Roneta Small gave birth to her 2nd baby, a boy; Subrina Prettypaul gave birth to her 1st baby, a boy and Ruth Vernon gave birth to her 1st baby, a girl.
At the New Amsterdam Hospital, Berbice Maywatie Kasinath gave birth to her 2nd baby, a boy; Stephanie DeGoeas gave birth to her 1st baby, a boy and Nalini Pirtam gave birth to her 1st baby, a girl.
At Suddie Hospital, Essequibo coast Semona Shew gave birth to her 3rd baby, a girl; Indranie Shameer gave birth to her 2nd baby, a girl and Yashoda Moniram gave birth to her 2nd baby, a girl.
