Guyana Energy Agency (GEA) field manager Levoy Taljit remains missing with few clues to his whereabouts.
A source yesterday told Stabroek News that there have been no developments in the case although another search may be conducted tomorrow within the same location where his vehicle was found, along the Soesdyke highway.
The only suspect in the case has been released from police custody after being held for more than three days. He did not provide investigators with any groundbreaking details about Taljit’s disappearance.
Police discovered a Toyota Raum, which was later identified as Taljit’s vehicle along the Soesdyke highway. It was open and had been vandalised. Taljit had been scheduled to go to the supermarket with his mother just hours before he went missing on December 23.
Taljit’s family and relatives are still hoping that he will be found in a safe condition. Anyone who may have information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the family on telephone numbers 226-0433, 226-7336, 666-4012 or the nearest police station.
