GT&T donates to St Joseph’s Mercy Hospital rebuilding: The Guyana Telephone and Telegraph (GT&T) Company yesterday pledged to contribute $750,000 over three years towards the rebuilding of the St Joseph’s Mercy Hospital. The sum makes it a gold sponsor and GT&T started contributing last year, a press release said. GT&T believes that the hospital has provided outstanding service to the nation in the past and is pleased to support rebuilding efforts.
Chris Fernandes, Chairman of the Hospital’s Improvement Committee, extended gratitude to GT&T for its support, noting that it will augment rebuilding efforts, the first phase of which is nearing completion.
