The police this morning conducted cordon and search operations in the areas of Albouystown and West Ruimveldt, Georgetown, during which eight buildings were searched, a release from the police said today.
Eleven men were arrested pending investigations into armed robberies and narcotics offences, the police said. Two of them have been positively identified as the perpetrators of recent armed robberies, the police said.
The men are in custody assisting with investigations.
