Dear Editor,
I wish to raise in the public domain an issue which can be sorted out to the satisfaction of customers. Some time ago I purchased a Japanese car from a local auto dealer and was surprised to find that the manuals given were not in English but Japanese, which was explained as normal. This was confirmed by many of my friends who owned locally purchased Japanese cars and I do apologize if any dealer issues an English owners manual.
I had several cars before, all new with the owners manual which greatly assisted me in the use and maintenance of the car. Today motor vehicles are not cheap and are very hi-tech, but there must be some maintenance procedures where we can help ourselves or be knowledable about. I would suggest that the auto dealers source the owners manual and include the cost to the purchaser.
Yours faithfully,
