A man accused of cursing another was on Tuesday placed on $20,000 bail after he denied the charge.
At the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court, it was alleged that on January 6, at Georgetown, Keith Thomas, 43, of 209 Middle Road La Penitence, used abusive language on Kevin Jupiter, resulting in a breach of the peace.
Thomas, who appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Police Prosecutor Vishnu Hunt told the court that Thomas used a series of expletives on the virtual complainant.
No further details of the case were presented to the court.
The prosecution had no objections to bail and the matter was adjourned to February 12.
