The Labour Ministry today said that it is hosting a sensitization meeting for the Chinese business community operating in Guyana at 4 this afternoon.
A statement from the ministry said that the session will “address relevant labour laws and related labour issues governing the operations of Chinese-owned shops, stores, hotels and restaurants in Guyana.”
Minister of Labour, Dr. Nanda K. Gopaul will deliver remarks at the event and present to the Chinese, relevant labour documents translated to their language.
The meeting is to be held at the Chinese Association, Brickdam.
A similar forum was recently held for the Brazilian business community.
