A big catch: Rajpaul Singh (at right), a cash crop farmer of Bush, West Coast Berbice on Thursday caught this anaconda in a seine he had set in the trench close to his farm. He said another farmer saw the seine moving and decided to pull it up, thinking that fish had been caught. But he had a hard time pulling because of the size of the snake, which was about 14 ft long. He was glad that it was caught because farmers would go into the trench to clean it as well as to fish. In photo, a farmer helps Rajpaul to “stretch out the snake.”
