Off-spinner Steven Latcha bagged a five-for to help bowl the President’s XI to first innings points over Essequibo on the second day of their four-day Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) Inter County match at the Wales Community Development Centre ground.
Replying to the President’s XI first innings score of 157 all out, Essequibo, resuming on 4-1, fell for exactly 100 in 45.5 overs of the day’s play which was badly affected by rain.
Herrell Greene top scored with 38 a knock which contained two fours and one six.
Latcha ended with 5-26; Raj Nanan 3-14 and Seon Daniels 2-31, the principal wicket-takers.

On Sunday, Essequibo’s Anthony Adams captured 7-33 to help dismiss the President’s XI for 157 after they won the toss and batted.
Medium pacer Mark Tyrell dismissed Kevon Boodie (00) and Tagenarine Chanderpaul (09) to end with two wickets.
Anthony Bramble top scored with 36, Eugene La Fleur made 26, Devon Clement, 20, Dexter Solomon, 16 and Elton Baker, 14.
