Head of the Presidential Secretariat Dr Roger Luncheon said Cabinet had green-lighted two contracts in areas of commerce and sport, at its January 22 statutory meeting.
According to a GINA release, at his post-Cabinet press briefing on Wednesday, Luncheon said in the commerce sector, a contract valued US$182,000 for the procurement of one mobile test truck for the Guyana National Bureau of Standards was given the go-ahead.
In addition, he advised that a contract valued $166 million for the construction of phase two of the field facility (bleachers) at the Synthetic Track at Leonora, Region Three was also approved, GINA reported.
