The Government Information Agency (GINA) yesterday said that Agriculture Minister Dr Leslie Ramsammy was in a stable condition after falling ill.
A release quoted Health Minister Dr Bheri Ramsaran as saying that Ramsammy’s condition had been discussed with his physicians, Dr. Mahendra Carpen and Dr. Sheik Amir. Ramsaran said that he personally spoke to his colleague for about ten minutes during a brief visit.
According to the release, Ramsammy had complained about feeling unwell a few moments after he had wrapped up a press briefing. Ramsammy’s condition was said to be under close observation at Caribbean Heart Institute (CHI) as he underwent a series of extensive lab tests.
