I wish to congratulate Inspire Inc, headed by Yog Mahadeo for the very well planned and executed Fulfilment Concert held recently at the National Stadium.
I recall in January 2012, I was at the GT&T sponsored Donnie Mc Clurkin concert, which Yog promised the nation to repeat in Jan 2013. It was very nice of him to keep that promise wearing a different hat.
To bring such mega gospel singers to perform locally involves a lot of resources and working capital, and risks that a number of entities are afraid to take. It makes it even more special that Inspire Inc did not have a major corporate entity to bankroll the concert, but rather several sponsors, pulled together by a dynamic team.
It was indeed very nice to see thousands of Guyanese coming together to witness this Grammy award singer live on stage for such a minimal charge; in other countries we would have had to pay a whole lot more. Plus the added exposure of the tremendous local talent goes a long way to further develop our own Cece Winans.
Good job guys at Inspire Inc. Well done!
