Dear Editor,
Quite recently a letter writer reminded us of the traffic chaos on the East Bank two-lane roads. I have one comment, however, and it pertains to her mention of the right lane being the fast lane. This can be misinterpreted by motorists that the speed limit may be exceeded. In fact that lane was primarily constructed to accommodate the excess traffic. And I would add for users who wish to exit right and overtake inner lane users, but these rules are abused as all lanes are ‘fast lanes’ to certain motorists.
Let’s drive responsibly.
Yours faithfully,
V O Patrick
