Orgainser Lyall Gittens is promsing lucrative cash prizes for the fifth annual Inter-Corporation doominoes competition which gets cracking next Friday at the Banks DIH Limited, Thirst Park venue.
The winning team will receive $250,000 with $150,000 going to the runners-up.
Teams placing third, fourth and fifth are set to receive $75,000, $50,000 and $25,000.
Trophies will accompany the cash prizes awarded to the top four teams.
GIttens told Stabroek Sport that the competition will be contested under the rules of the Guyana Domino Association (GDA) and will be played on a two in, one out basis.
The tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) will receive a gold chain while one hamper from Nigel’s Supermarket and $5,000 will be awarded to the person scoring the first double love and first Love in the finals respectively.
Tournament registration fee is $9,000 per team ($2,000 will be given to one of three Charitable Homes from each team registration and entries close tomorrow, says Gittens.
Additionally, the first 30 who register will receive a gift.

Competition kicks off at 5pm on Friday and will continue from 1.30pm the following day.
