State-of-the-art lighting, sound effects and a unique decorative theme are a few of the features that clubbers will be able to experience once the Princess International Hotel formally opens the doors of its club, “NEXT”, to the Guyanese public.
NEXT will be officially launched on Thursday February 14th 2013, but its regular opening nights will be Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturday, from 9:00pm – 4:00am.
It was said that this venture will provide employment for an assortment of foreign as well as Guyanese nationals. While more than 12 nationals from several European countries will be involved in providing the services found in NEXT, many Guyanese, several of whom were in attendance at the briefing, will also benefit.
During a press briefing at the Princess Casino, the Club’s Entertainment Manager, said that the Club’s one of a kind make up is the product of his wanting to provide a different atmosphere, and overall experience. Its decorations in particular follow a 16th century art theme and seem to depict celestial beings in various discourses.
The Club managers explained that NEXT is capable of legally accommodating 600-800 persons on any given night. It was also said that safety has been taken into consideration and was one of the factors in setting the limit. As it relates to safety there are also two emergency exits and five fire extinguishers situated at various locations in the club itself.
The Entertainment Manager explained that the sound effects and lighting are all imported and are unlike anything ever seen or experienced in Guyana. The Music, he said, will be mastered by a variety of DJs, including “Shah and Matt,” a female duo from Romania, and will encapsulate favourites from the Caribbean, America, and Europe.
To ensure that their patrons are able to enjoy themselves in a safe environment, NEXT’s Managers explained that the Club will be guarded by a substantial number of armed as well as unarmed guards who will be situated at various parts inside as well as outside of the club on the various nights it will be open.
For those who do not indulge, NEXT will be a no smoking zone. There will however be a smoker’s lounge provided at a separate location outside of the club.
To experience the amenities that will be provided by NEXT it was said that women will be charged $1000 while men will be required to pay $3000.
