Rayan Watson scored a double in the 56th and 70th minutes as Chase Academy defeated St. Winifred’s Secondary 5-1 yesterday in the Milo U20 school tournament at the Ministry of Education Ground, Carifesta Avenue.
Chase Academy scored their opening goal in the 35th minute through a Stephen Sanchar strike only for St. Winifred’s to score two minutes later through Christopher Sealey.
At half time the score was 1-1.
Chase Academy went ahead in the second half in the 56th minute with Watson scoring his first goal.
Desperate to find the equalizer, St. Winifred’s threw caution to the wind only for Chase Academy to capitalise and score three more goals through Isaiah Reddy, Watson and Carl Semple in the 61st, 64th and 70 minutes respectively.
In the opening fixture Lodge Secondary got a walkover from Guyana Education Trust College while Dolphin Secondary and David Rose played to a 3-3 draw.
Clinton Clark in the third minute, Toquwan Clark in the 24th minute and Daniel Griffith in the 56th minute where on target for the Dolphin outfit while Terrence Kayume in the fourth minute and Jamal John in the seventh and 21st minutes were the goal scorers for the David Rose unit.
