Despite a three-month lay-off University of Guyana Track and Field Club athlete, Wayne Harlequin, won gold in the men’s invitational 800m at the Leroy Brummell fun day at the Police Sports Club ground, Eve Leary.
Harlequin, who is under the watchful eyes of former Royal Youth Movement Athletics Club coach, Anson Ambrose, now coach at the university, scored his first victory against a star-studded field of athletes which included Ernesto Thomas, Cleveland Thomas and Kevin Bayley.
