During yesterday, the police say they conducted drug eradication operations in the Berbice River at De Veldt and Kimbia, during which a total of three fields, about three acres in size, with approximately 950 cannabis sativa (marijuana) plants under cultivation were found. An abandoned camp and one kilogram of dried cannabis were also found.
The marijuana and the camp were destroyed.
No arrest was made.
