Police are said to be investigating a fire at the Moleson Creek Police Outpost, which occurred early yesterday morning and according to Crime Chief Seelall Persaud it appears that it was electrical in origin.
While the police in an official press release said that it was a fire of unknown origin, Persaud told Stabroek News when contacted said that prior to the blaze, persons reported seeing sparks.
He said that at the time, ranks were in the building. From all indications no one was hurt.
The police release said that the fire occurred around 01:40 hrs. Personnel from the Guyana Fire Service responded and extinguished the fire which caused minor damage, it added.
