Magistrate Judy Latchman ordered two inmates of the Camp Street prison charged with possession of cannabis in the prison to appear in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on March 6 for the continuation of their matters.
Garfield King, 52, who is currently serving a four-year prison term in the Camp Street jail is accused of having 180 grammes of cannabis in his possession for the purpose of trafficking on October 4, 2012.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him. He also told the court that he is currently serving time for possession of narcotics.
Meanwhile, 25-year-old Ryan Fowler, who is currently serving time for break and enter is accused of having 50 grammes of cannabis in his possession for the purpose of trafficking on February 18, in the prison.
No facts about what occurred in either case were related to the court.
