CAVE HILL, Barbados, CMC-Captain Kirk Edwards reached his second century of the season to help lift Barbados to a commanding position against Combined Campuses and Colleges on the second day of their third round match in the Regional Four Day Championship yesterday.
Edwards, 93 overnight, scored 109 as Barbados piled up 365 runs for the loss of nine wickets, to lead by 256 runs overall.
The Barbados captain had major support from Kraigg Braithwaite who was just ten runs away from his century when he lost his wicket in unfortunate circumstances and Shane Dowrich who is not out on 51.
Dowrich has already struck two fours.
Edwards punished the CCC bowlers hitting three sixes and ten fours and lasting 286 minutes at the crease before he was caught at slips by Kyle Corbin.
Resuming the day from his overnight score of 55, Braithwaite inched closer to three figures counting five boundaries in his 381 minutes batting.
He was caught for 90 on the rebound by wicket-keeper Chadwick Walton after the ball hit the boot of Shacaya Thomas in forward short-leg.
Akim Dewar was the most impressive bowler for CCC finishing the day with seven for 114 including the prize scalp of Edwards.
