A man will spend the next two weeks in jail after the assault of a doctor at the Diamond Diagnostic Centre.
At the Providence Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, Irvin Persaud, 60, of Lot 139 Bombay Terrace, Prashad Nagar, admitted that on February 22, he assaulted Teshawna Tikal, a doctor who was on duty.
According to Police Prosecutor Shellon Daniels, Tikal was approached by Persaud, who assaulted. She also noted that Persaud would constantly visit the hospital and accuse the staff there of causing the death of his wife.
Magistrate Leslie Sobers handed down the sentence.
