Goals from Terrence Aaron and Shawn Daniels in the seventh and ninth minutes respectively enabled New Era Russians to defeat Hard Knocks 2-1 and win the inaugural Banks Premium/Unique Entertainment Futsal tournament at the Mackenzie Sports Club hard-court Saturday night. The win was worth $500,000 and a trophy.
Hard Knocks, who scored a consolation goal in the 17th minute, received $300,000 and a trophy.
In the third place play off Top Class defeated Silver Bullets 3-1 with Shawn Easton netting a hat trick while Robin Adams scored for the losers.
Top Class received $150,000 and a trophy while Travis Watterson was adjudged the Most Valuable Player.
