A security guard was yesterday accused of chopping a man who he claimed stole his bicycle.
Zaman Deen, 47, was refused bail and remanded to prison when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on a charge of inflicting grievous bodily harm. Deen pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him by Magistrate Judy Latchman. It was alleged that on March 3, at Georgetown, he chopped Mahendra Ramsingh’s leg. Attorney-at-law Paul Fung-a-Fat, who represented Deen,
