A man who admitted assaulting his wife with a rum bottle was yesterday sentenced to nine months imprisonment by Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry.
On March 7, at River View Ruimveldt, Nazir Rahim unlawfully assaulted Rowtie Boodhoo so as to cause her actual bodily harm.
He pleaded guilty to the charge when it was read to him at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court.
