Dear Editor,
The life of the late Pariag Sukhai, the former Chairman Region 3, was geared towards serving humanity and he was determined to work diligently towards developing Guyana.
He has dedicated an exceptional part of his life fighting to protect the rights of people and to free the country of undemocratic rule. As regional chairman, his contribution to developing and advancing the nation was exemplary, as he was committed to working with the farmers, sugar workers and working class citizens of this country.
His contribution to the Peoples Progressive Party can never be overstated as his entire life was dedicated to the party. History will forever remember him as a true son of the soil whose life was an example of the teachings of Dr Cheddi Jagan.
It is with profound sadness that we mourn the loss of a great fighter and a steadfast member of the PPP whose memory will live on in our hearts and who has now joined other stalwarts who have gone before him.
Deepest condolences are extended to the family and friends of Comrade Pariag Sukhai during this time of sorrow. His contribution and sacrifices made in our quest for nation building will forever be remembered so long as his memory endures in our hearts.
