A release from the festival office said that under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport, the Guyana Music Teachers Association, the Woodside Choirs International and the Lutheran Church of Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA, the festival will allow participants of all ages to compete in over 40 categories to showcase their talent.
The competition will include vocal solos, duets and choirs, verse speaking, dramatic poetry, musical instruments solos and duets. Music will include classical, gospel, soul, folk pieces and songs from shows.
