GT&T is taking steps to reduce the impact of the announced migration to its new integrated Billing and Customer Management System for its mobile service and asks subscribers to continue to exercise patience during this phase.
In a press release, the company said the mobile WAP/APN, Blackberry and GTTi services have been stabilised and it is working to ensure that the international SMS services are restored to normalcy. The company has temporarily disabled international SMS (while it tests the overseas networks) due to the ongoing issues, as related by subscribers of multiple SMSes. ‘Dollar Talk’ for persons qualifying yesterday and onwards has also been resolved; however, GT&T is still working to resolve pre-migration dollar talk customers.
Customers are encouraged to use phone cards to recharge and query their account balance using 0808, while the company continues to resolve the electronic recharge issue. The company also welcomes feedback to ensure the transition is effective.
The company acknowledges the inconvenience the transition has caused and assures its customers that it is working assiduously towards a speedy resolution.
