Businessman Leekha Rambrich was re-elected to serve a second term as president of the Central Corentyne Chamber of Commerce (CCCC) at a recent AGM.
Rambrich pledged his full commitment to ensuring that the CCCC accomplishes all its goals, adding that it is the cooperation of the members that has allowed it to be a strong advocate for residents and the business community.
The CCCC hosts the annual Berbice Expo and Trade Fair and it is preparing to stage the ninth expo in July, a press release said. The commentators’ booth is currently being rehabilitated with support from the Albion Sports Complex and the group is in the process of setting up its new office at Rose Hall Town.
The other officers elected to serve 2013-2014 are Tajpaul Adjodhea, branch manager at Hand-in-Hand, vice-president; Surendra Ganesh, of NPG Packaging, treasurer; Imran Hamid, of Imran & son & daughter, assistant treasurer; Poonai Bhigroog, of Poonai Pharmacy and Animal Health Care, secretary; Leon McDonald, manager, Republic Bank Rose Hall branch, assistant secretary and Krishnanand Raghunandan, anthropologist, PRO.
The CCCC was founded in November 2004.
