Dear Editor,
At this point in time, when there are national and international concerns about the rising crime rate in Guyana, I am naturally alarmed about publicized conflicts among the senior ranks of the Guyana Defence Force and the Guyana Police Force.
It is being reported that four officers of the GDF have taken their chief of staff Commodore Gary Best to court for withholding their annual bonuses and it is being reported that there are personal rifts going within the senior ranks of the Guyana Police Force.
Editor, I like many other individuals and organizations would like to have the administrations of our security forces working in a united manner to deal with Guyana’s desperate crime situation, instead of reportedly bickering among themselves.
Yours faithfully,
Morris Wilson
